9U McKinney Marshals
The 9u Marshals finished 2nd in the Big 12 Memorial Day Blast in Chickasha, OK over Memorial Day Weekend. The Marshals played some great baseball from start to finish, playing 7 games in 4 days, and "competed and scrapped in every game" according to coach Lionel Carlton. They went 2-2 in pool play, with both losses being by 1 run. They then were seed #8 going in to the Championship bracket on Monday, and beat the #1 seed-Lubbock Rivercats 9-8 in a 6 inning game. In the semi-finals they topped a solid Lubbock Raiders team in extra innings, 4-3. The championship game was a dog fight, with the tough Marshals team finally edged 4-3 in a great finish to great weekend. Congratulations 9U Marshals!

#44 Tyler Jones
9U McKinney Marshals
Coach Lionel Carlton
Whether Tyler is tracking down a deep fly, digging hard for a triple, or beating out a throw for one of his many infield hits, there’s rarely a faster player on the field than Tyler. In addition to his pure athleticism, Tyler is the model team mate and a joy to be around. Tyler attends Beasley Elementary School in Mesquite, Texas where he is in Mrs. Ray's third grade class. His favorite subject is math. Tyler's favorite baseball player of all time is Ken Griffey Jr.. For T-Jones, the best part about being on the 9u Marshals team is traveling & being able to play baseball with old and new friends.
