Holiday Camps a Success
Campers enjoy instruction from collegiate, professional stars
OSU & Baylor coaches, along with Washington Nationals Corey Brown, lead instruction in holiday camps.
Players of all ages enjoyed holiday camps with the McKinney Marshals that featured instruction from coaches at two of the best collegiate baseball programs in the country -- Baylor University and Oklahoma State University -- and one of the rising young stars in professional baseball, former Oakland A's and OSU All-American, and current Washington Nationals outfielder Corey Brown.
Coach Steve Johnigan of Baylor University led the December 11 Baseball Skills Camp, whle the December 18 hitting camps were lead by Coach Billy Jones of Oklahoma State University, with assistance from former OSU standout pitcher and current OSU assistant Matt Gardner, and also Corey Brown, the former OSU great who was drafted by Oakland in 2007, and traded to the Washington Nationals on December 16, 2010. Brown will be given a chance to win a spot in the Nationals outfield at spring training this year.
